This Elm Asian Zing sideboard from the early 20th century was restored and refinished in high gloss blue automotive paint in color name “Moscow Midnight” by Sherwin Williams. Original handles were polished. This vintage buffet was constructed with the original Asian style Mortise and Tenon joints. This technique has origins in China going back nearly 7000 years. You can see the joints as shown in the pictures. We did our best to bring this piece to life, but due to the age you will notice some small imperfections, shown the best we can in the pictures. The aged wood moves causing some shifts in the paint. The handles shows some black marks that we were not able to take off. The piece is sturdy and the drawers and doors open nicely. Please notice the round handles are missing the stick that goes across both doors. This piece is perfect as a sideboard, changing table, dresser in the guestroom, TV stand in the family room, vanity in the bathroom, credenza in the office or in your entry way for extra storage. Antique furniture restored and refinished. Vintage refinished furniture will always have some imperfections. Higher gloss finish and better durability than lacquer paint is achieved using automotive paint. Ming style. Chinoiserie.
